RA, That's how it was done. The running /Brake lights don't need a resistor. If your doing both front and rear with the same setup I used (7watt bulbs) make sure you use the 3ohm resistor for the turn signal lights.

Thanks Pico. I have the 3 ohm resistors for each side of the turn signals.
When you said you don't need the resistors for the brake lights, I'm assuming you don't have LEDS on all of your brake lights (including the 3rd brake light)? I've always read that you'll need the 6 ohm resistors on at least one of the LED brake lights if do a full conversion.

I have the Vstar vleds for my taillights and they work without a resistor. I know that you'll need a resistor for the third brake light. All my exterior lights are LED, and the only lights that are resisted would be the turn signals. Sorry for the confusion with my wording.
