Wax messed up my rear spoiler...

So I took my car to a nice car was place for the first time ever. I always wash my car myself but that week was too busy and I really needed to have my car washed. Anyways, I get like a medium size package and when I get my car they did a tremendous job! Only problem is, I didn't know at the time, they used some wax crap on my car. Well a month later, I notice my rear spoiler started bubbling up. After a few days, the paint was gone on a big section and the whole wing was pretty much ruined!

I now have the option of getting the wing repainted (OEM one) or replacing it with a Mazdaspeed wing. Anyone have any experience installing one of those MS wings? Also, since the OEM one is already installed, do I need to re-drill holes or will it go right in the same one?

I believe the holes go in a different area, sorry to hear =(. But i'm sure you can find a salvage 8 and get the trunk off of it in your color

It's probably something else that "bubbled" your paint...
If it had been something done a month ago,
the paint would have shown signs of damage immediately.

The MS Wing is the best looking aftermarket spoiler out there, in my opinion.
Hope you have deep pockets... If you've priced the MS Wing you know what I mean...

Good luck!

Are you sure or just guessing?
Perhaps someone who has made the switch from OEM to the MS Wing can comment...

yes the MS wing uses the same holes as the stock OEM holes. The other hole that clips onto the stock spoiler I don't use, I just pluged it.

becareful, you may notice a scratch mark left by the stock spoiler when you install the ms because the ms doesn't cover it up. just a notice not to get PO'd if you go this route.

that is true^^^ i had scratch marks that started to rust. When I debadged my rear trunk, I also had to ask the body shop to fix it and repaint the scratch marks. Now when you look at you won't even notice.
