I've searched the whole damn forum. I can't find a pic of anyone who's tinted 50%fronts and 35% rest on their windows. Has anyone seen this at all!?

I have a Galaxy Grey and for some reason I think 35%(legal limit) might look bad on this colour. The reason i'm thinking this is that I want to balance the sport/class of the original design of the car.

 

i am sure there are some 50/35 tints out there but 35% certainly isn't that dark.

I see the pic ur talking about. The guy complains about it not being dark enough at 35%. He's obviously going for a different look than me with tacky black rims like that which don't fit his colour.

I am just worried that after getting 50/35 i might not like having the front two windows lighter than the back 2.

Youre is a 35/20 right? does the difference in front to back windows make the car look better or worse in your opinion? I should have asked right away.

Go here http://www.tintmyride.ca/tint_demo.htm and click on the "Begin Demo". While the RX8 isn't one of the cars on the simulator,you still see get an idea of the tint percentage variations between 50% and 35%.

35 or 50 isn't that dark. I had both 15% all around on the 8 and now on the GTO. Because of the darker interior and smaller windows on the 8 that 15% looked darker. The GTO has larger windows and a somewhat lighter color interior . The combination of the two make the tint appear not as dark as on the 8.

as for the difference between the two colors, i actually would have preferred to go 20% all around but the legal limit is 35% here for the fronts (anything is fine on the rear). if you're looking for it, the difference can be seen between the two but i like the fact that the dark rear window keeps more heat and light out since it's the largest one. again, ideally i would have gone 20% all around but didn't need to give the cops another reason to hassle me.

 

50 Front, 35 quarter panels, 20 back window...

If I were to redo, I would go with your first instinct; 50 front and the rest 35...

Its really hard to tell the difference between titanium grey and galaxy if you're not in person.
