What are good bumper options?

I don't want to spend hours looking for the unicorn genuine used Mazdaspeed bumpers. You're all saying the USA "knock offs" are crap. JDM ones take a year to get. and I don't like the stock ones.

are we all SOL? are there well fitting knock-off bumpers I can order today preferably something that looks like Mazdaspeed?

If you're ok with spending a few extra Washingtons, you can always get a knockoff bumper fitted properly to your car. Assuming that the bumper isn't just straight garbage, it should work just fine and only needing a little massaging to get it to fit properly. Just stay away from Duraflex. Duraflex is the devil..

Pay now or pay later, almost all knock offs are crap. Shine is a popular knock off but the fitment I have seen as shipped in person is less than good. Vertex Lang, Racing beat, and Tsunami are the only ones readily available in the states that are not crap that I can think of. But the Tsunami is heavy. Even my buddies mazdatrix needed quite a bit of work to get fitment right but it is FG so it was easier, that is not the case with plastic bumpers.

So does Vertex Lang, Racing Beat or Tsunami offer Mazdaspeed replicas? I haven't been able to locate them.

I too am looking for a Mazdaspeed replica, so any help here would be appreciated.

I have located:
Duraflex (fiberglass)
Extreme Dimensions (urethane)
VSaero (urethane)

Don't buy any replicas, just save for a legit bumper.

The problem is not "saving" it is "finding". I can't find any new or used Mazdaspeed body sets. Again, any help would be appreciated.

does anyone have good experience with RHDjapan? They seem to sell JDM bumpers at approx $700-800 piece with another $600-700 in shipping for each bumper. That would add upto about $3000 just for front and rear bumpers. little ridiculous, but at least that's an option.

You can find plenty of legit bumpers but the Mazdaspeed bumper is discontinued so your only chance of getting one is from overseas but the crash bar is different on the UK cars so that would have to addressed. That said, I have two real Mazdaspeed bumpers, they pop up every now and then. The aftermarket MS bumpers are 99% ****, I have seen plenty of them in person.

I have never really heard anything bad about them. You can also contact bullitproof automotive and some other places, let me get a name and I will get back to you.

Corksport produced a MS replica and it was the only one I recall looking decent.

My advice is stay patient and keep looking for a legit bumper.
