What are strakes?

Keep an eye out on Ebay. I won mine in an auction for $83 plus $9 shipping. They didn't come with hardware, but I was able to find what I needed at the hardware store for about 10 cents. They were in great shape and installed easily. I really like how they look.

I got the ones on eBay.....GREAT GREAT quality! They are polished stainless steel, and they are beautiful! I was a little nervous since they were stainless.....and I never thought of stainless as being shiny, but they look exactly like they are chrome.
I agree.....these are an absolute NECESSITY for the RX-8. Wow, I knew they would look cool.....but they look AMAZING! Go get some!!! for sure!!! :o)

Personally I like the aluminum OEM, becasue I like the softer look without the shine. Stainless will probably hold up better because it does not oxidize like aluminum. This is more of an issue with areas w/snow and road salt. Does anyone know if someone makes them in brushed stainless?

I agree, I like the softer, brushed look over shiny stainless.
