You can only buy it from their website IF you are a member of their program.

Yeah you need to apply to be a member of the Mazda Motorsport Development program which means you need race results from your previous races or Time Trial events. Then if you get accepted you can buy parts like that.

Yeah failed to mention you need a boat load of money as well lmao. Dry carbon ain't cheap.

The program is great for ordering OEM parts though, really good prices on most stuff like that but anything else is just out of this world expensive.

Yeah they're street legal but why you would want to put one on a street car is beyond me. The RX-8 doesn't have enough power without going FI to justify a wing like that, lap times might actually get slower if you're still N/A...

Or do you just want one because you think they look cool lmao...

Kognition design makes nice wings that are actually functional. They cost around 1500$ and aren't trunk mounted, you have to cut through your quarter panels to solid mount the wing.

Yeah if you're looking for functional, that's the one to get. Super strong chassis mount and they have the CFD data to back it up.

I wish I had the power to rationalize putting one on the car. If I get to 300WHP down the road then I'd probably pick one up, but for now with a front splitter the car sticks plenty good. After I'm finished with the rear diffuser that'll be enough aero for me for awhile.

Yep want one because they are more than cool..they are super cool.
Think about how many looks on the street.

Hey i have the 2004 paddle shift automatic and i am thinking of getting it to like 400whp...is that possible? What is the closest to 400whp i can get? What do i need?

For now i really need those spoilers...they are really badass!

The kognition looks cool but i want the one that cuts through the trunk instead...the reason the spoilers look really cool is because of the short distance between the 2 supports for the wing...the kognition is so far apart that it looks ugly really.

The difference between the kognition one and the trunk mounted ones is that the trunk mounted ones are less effective. Most track cars with "trunk" mounted wings either have a reinforement to prevent the trunk from moving\flexing or have real chassis mounts that go through the trunk.

Learn to do things for your own pleasure, not for the looks you'll get from other people. The looks you get when running big wings on the street are all from people laughing at you, car enthusiasts included.
Also, forget your 400rwhp goal on a 4at.

They'll be laughing because you put it on there "because it looks super cool" and they know that the car isn't fast.

The reason no one laughs at those GrandAm cars is because they are fast as hell and they are purpose built machines where functionality is everything.

Also the highest horsepower 4-port auto I've seen is like 300RWHP... and that's after about 7 or 8 grand dumped into the turbo setup and supporting mods and tuning etc etc.

Looks like you've got some reading to do, fortunately you're in the right place. Start searching through threads and just start soaking up the information, it's out there, you just have to find it.

You skipped the interesting part Arca
Btw nokia, they'll be laughing at you also because a wing is useless on the highway (unless you drive a 1st gen audi tt, lol), it's useless when going to the grocery store and it's useless on an autoX course.
If you mention the bloody sequence (Pouhon, les fagnes, stavelot and blanchimont) then a wing may help you. Some of them are 125mph turns at least.
The grand-am rx8 isn't even an rx8 either. Tube frame and a pp 20b, lol.

That sucks then...anyways i will just wait to get the m5 or m6(preferably).
Bought this car only because don't have that much...why spend $8k when i can add that with the price i got the rx8 and get me a super classy fast monster m6...well that is what i plan to do then..will just use this to enjoy the paddle shifting for the main time.

Just sold my 99 eclipse gst 5 speed manual(modded) which was fast as hell but got tired of the manual thing as i live in the city area and just too much traffic for me...will just hold on and keep saving till i am ready for the 04-06ish m6!

" Ouch" reality check, just because there are some similarities of a race car on the out side, doesn't mean there is one on the inside.
But prove us wrong and do it. Take some pictures and post them. We would love to see the out come.
