will Dr.Colorchip or touch up paint work for this

hey guys i have this mark on my hood and its really irritating me, it was caused by the previous owner he was a mechanic and he said the mark was due to some brake cleaning fluid or something like that that fell and spilled on the hood, i was thinking about using Dr.Colorchip to fix it but im not sure if it would work/ look nice. I've gotten a quote to paint it and it runs about $350 and up, i dont want to spend that much since im planning on getting a carbon fiber hood eventually and getting it painted to to match the body color. so if you guys have any other suggestions feel free to let me know
Thanks
Best Regards
Brendon

awww damn it, i feared that, i don't mind spending the cash, but i just felt it was redundant to paint this hood and then pay again to get my new hood painted in about 6-7 months. my friend mentioned wrapping it with carbon fiber vinyl in the mean time but im not sure if it would look nice?????

Just live with it and buy your new hood sooner.
Besides... have you tried sanding and polishing it?

I haven't tried sanding it, because I'm not sure it would work since i can see metal in some areas.

I'm thinking i might just wrap it with carbon fiber vinyl until i get a actual carbon fiber hood, has anyone ever wrapped their hoods I want to see what it would look like.

I agree with those who say don't bother. Just wait until you can get your new hood.

Agreed, get the new hood sooner. You can either spend money to get this painted, or save that money and use it to get your new hood sooner.
