Question Windshield Tint Strip or Not?

I am contemplating weather or not to get a front strip on my windshield when I get my windows tinted. One of the reasons I am against it is because I think you might be able to see the stock tint on the windshield that is small and comes down in the middle a little bit through the tint strip and I think that would look cheap. If I decide to get one I would also have to decide how many inches to come down *probably around 5 or 6 inches* Let me know what your opinions are and as always pictures always help. Thanks, Phill

i beg to differ. cause there are those day when you have to stay late at work, and your driving home tired. the suns right there where the strip would be..and your just to damn lazy to bring the visor down. thats were it thrives the most. although opinions are like ********, everyone has one. so really its going to come down to you and your lifestyle. do you really need this strip? what benifit would you get out if it?

It looks nice and is helpful. Makes your roofline look lower. Adds style to your car. But to each their own. Sounds like your against it, so you shouldn't.

no I'm not against it I just don't know if it looks good or not in person. If you can see through it and see the spot that is darker on the windshield stock then it prolly looks cheap I just dont know if you can or not...

I used 18% and you can barely see it. Go with 5% and it should be solid black.

Just get your windshield tinted. Mine's been done for over 6 months now and I haven't had any problems from cops.

I think it will look too dark since the factory already has it darker up top.

If you get it, get it very light.

Then it will be less noticable and work better.

You know that doesn't make any real sense. You don't want to see the dark spot around the mirror if you have a windshield strip, but you definately see it with out the stip. What's the difference? 5% tint is the same as limo tint. I think you'll be happy with it. I have 18% and I don't notice the black around the mirror. The pictures I took with my HD camera show it, due to the flash. Looking at it with my eyes, I have to focus in to notice.

Tinting the front windshield is alway better, but I already have my front windows, and getting the front windshield tinted will really make my front windows darker, and I really don't want to get pulled over. Or else I would do it. But Go the front windshield tint.
