Wings/Spoilers from other cars on RX-8s
I'm looking for a wing for my RX-8 that was used by another car. I like the high arch style like a 98 Mitsubishi Eclipse. My question is has anyone seen any RX-8's with wings/spoilers from other cars? I'm particularly interested in the wings used on the SRT-4 although I have no measurements and I am leary the wing will be higher than the roof.
I have seen other RX-8's using the GTO (Monero) wing (don't like). Ive seen an RX-8 with a 2000+ Toyota Celica wing (looked good), and I've seen the Mitsubishi EVO wing as well (too high/big). I'm just hoping someone has maybe seen another car's wing used on the RX-8 that looked good and fit?

No it will not. Mine came with studs in the mounting holes. I used blue painters tape and a tape measure to get the holes right. I triple checked the location before drilling the holes.

The Evo spoiler is lower than the roof of 8, can you see it sitting at about 8/10 height of the rear windshield.
From a lower angle, which is how the photos were taken, it looks high, but it's not.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion!
WOW I love the way that looks and being in carbon fiber it would match my hood BUT I'm willing to bet said and done that wing cost more than $1,500. Am I close?
My 8's trunk is at a body shop now getting de-badged and re-winged. I liked the way the SRT-4 wing looked sitting on the trunk so I pulled the trigger on it. I'll get pics up when I get it back. Kinda skeptical though It's a body shop I've never used or been to before and he offered to mount the wing too so I may regret it after its all said and done. But he did a car that sold through a Barrett Jackson auction and it looked pretty sweet so I guess no gutz no glory...

Okay well after a little over a week and many delays my trunk lid is finally prepped and ready for paint. Whether you like it or not I'm fairly confident no one else will have an SRT-4 wing on their RX-8 trunk. Suffice it to say that the SRT-4 trunk and wing is a different shape than the RX-8's trunk is. At any rate after some custom modification here is where it sits today before paint. I'm told it should be done tomorrow afternoon I guess we'll see...
