i purchased these exact bulbs from this site, for the first week or so they worked fine until my roomate noticed smoke coming from my foglight housing. after waiting a couple of minutes i unplugged the bulbs only to find that both were starting to "bubble" on one side of the bulb. i talked to xtremewhite and they told me that this happened because the bulbs are rated at 80w while the factory h11 bulbs are rated as 55w. they issued me a full refund and i ended up only having to pay for return shipping. hope this helps with your decision. on a side note i design and install "clear bras' on cars so i just installed two layers of yellow headlight film and they are just as yellow, if not more yellow, then the bulbs i had to return. good luck.

Did you install the film on headlights or foglights?

no issues at all. as a matter of fact i've intalled the film on plenty of cars. we have contracts with ferrari, lamborghini, bmw, jag, porsche, lexus, aston martin, and lotus dealerships here in las vegas and i have installed clear, yellow, blue, and smoked colored film on the headlights and foglights on many of these vehicles.

Hmmmm I may have to look into this. I wanted to change my fogs to yellow but this may be an alternative to changing bulbs. Plus I'm assuming if I don't like it I can just peal it right off?

One more question and I'll leave you alone. Does this add any protection to the fogs or just for show? I'm assuming it does if it's the same as the 3M brand clear bra material.

i got a 12X12 sheet from one of the vendors on ebay. They typically are sold to protect your headlight. Actually, just serach headlight film on ebay, cost me $20!!

the yellow paint should look good but if you ever decide to take it off it will be much harder, not only that keep in mind that if you paint it, it will fade overtime and you have to do it over again. On the other hand if you go with the vinyl sheet, you can always take it off and re apply if needed. I actually had enough to install it on 3 other cars, my cousins audi s4 and a civic with aftermarket fogs...looks great!

what kind of bulbs are you using with that? i'm interested in doing something like this for my fogs but i wanted a nice crisp look to it, i've heard of ion bulbs and such but i'm not sure which route to take...

i went to michaels and the paint was like 7 bucks, i mean i would think to use masking tape all around the fog light and jus spray it on like that. i searched for the film on e bay and they didnt have any, they had smoked ones n stuff, this one guy had it but he wasnt a power seller so i'm a lil hesitant to order from him...i ono man im leaning to painting it wid glass paint right now....
