hi i have the 2005 rx8, does the stereo head unit comes wif the AUX in?
I am planning to purchase the xcarlink ipod adapter for it.

Plz advise

 

I don't think the stock HU came with one. But the carlink adapter should have an aux port.

 

So do i need to do any soldering? or is it a straight forward plug n play? behind the HU

 

No, the '05 HU does not come with an Aux-in. But you can simply install the adapter, provided the port isn't already occupied by say a Sirius sat radio.

I think it shows a picture where you'll make the connection. Should be plug and play as Huey said it. So I don't think any soldering is required lol.
