'09 OEM: memory buttons stopped working for Sirius

I have a new 09 RX-8 GT with the 6-month Sirius subscription. About two weeks ago (I think) the memory buttons stopped working when the OEM stereo is in Satellite input mode. I had all three banks programmed but when I push one now I get "Invalid operation" or something like that. I started to reprogram them, but stopped when I realized that it wasn't fixing the problem. The memory buttons work fine for normal FM radio. My guess is this is something to do with the Sirius service and not the hardware. Anyone else notice this? I can still manually tune to the different Sirius stations. I don't plan to continue the subscription, but I would like to know if there's something wrong with the hardware so I can get it fixed under warranty (and while the subscription is still working).

I don't know why your head unit wouldn't hold a newly programmed sat radio preset, but I do know that a couple of weeks ago Sirius updated a bunch of their channels, which wiped out the memory settings on my Starmate 4. I was able to reprogram them immediately into the presets, but some of the channel numbers had shifted, if I recall.
