Hello all,

I have an '09 RX-8 GT with the Mazda Nav system. It has a "feature" that drives me and my passengers insane: once you've started moving, it basically disabled all the features of the nav system except moving the map around and canceling the routing. So, once you're moving, you can't enter a new destination. This is particularly frustrating while on the highway.

Does anyone know how to modify the nav system or otherwise "disable" this feature please?

As it stands, the nav system is worse than my previous car (an '05 Acura RL) and worse than my Garmin standalone system. (I have one on my motorcycle.) But this "feature" makes it nearly completely unusuable.

Please help?

PS: I had my entire transmission replaced after 700 miles and the 4th, 5th, 6th gear synchros replaced after 2000. We'll see how long things last...
