After the email that I got back from RSW regarding their 3 Gauge Hood (see thread... https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...5&pagenumber=1 )... I am really disappointed in RMagic. I think I might write them back about volume discounting and see what comes of it... The only thing is I am not so worried about RMagic have fitment issues...

I can ask, but I am under the impression that there aren't any "options" or "requests."

I don't like the design of R magic. You have to look down at your guages when you driving. I like the one below, which keeps your eye on the road. Specially when you're racing.

The RMagic one works for many people, as they are non-smokers and have the Navigation Unit. I agree the looking down is bad, but you honestly don't need to constantly look at the type of information these guages are going to provide (water temp, oil temp, intake pressure, boost, oil pressure, rpm...). So you just glance down at a stoplight, in stop and go traffic, or when cruising. Any other time you wouldn't have time to look at dash mounted gauges either. Speaking of which, RSW is making a replica of the Mazadaspeed 3 Gauge Hood... currently being redesigned though. I'll post more on that when I get the info.

Preacher,

That guage cluster is by Fujita Engineering (FEED). The gauges all face to the right for a right-hand drive car... so not much good for you guys in the States. Someone else tried contacting FEED to see if they would make a LHD model, but no response...

I knew you would be. Is it going to be CF only? As you know there are a lot of CF fans and a lot of VERY anti-rice people on the forum...

Could you be a little more clear what you're refering to? If you mean the FEED 3 Gauge Dash panel above... that doesn't have a 1DIN or anything else built into it.

Nice! If you do, and it's a good match for the interior (eg, NOT carbon fiber) then I'm there!

EVO, what Sputnik is referring to is that your sig is too big. It needs to be no more than 8 lines of text.

I do see that PMs are enabled, but for some reason are not working. I'll talk to the board Admins about this and see what can be done.

Slight update...

Nothing set in stone yet, but... I am looking at trying to sponor a group buy for... RMagic 1Din dash panel, Ashtray Gauge panel and when it's ready the RSW 3 Gauge Hood. Are people still interested in any of these? If not, no problem...

It won't be carbon fiber. It will have the same color tone as the dash. I'll be at Atlantic City SEMA Show this week.

EXcellent! Ya know what would be interesting? A hood that combines space for a 1-din unit and a gauge on either side of it. Just a thought.

Defi gauges plus controller ain't cheap. If you're dropping in a 1DIN w/LCD, why not just pick up the HKS digital unit mentioned in the LCD thread?

If you're letting newbies in on it, I'd possibly/probably be interested in the 2-gauge ashtray (assuming it puts the gauges at a viewable angle for LHD).
