2004 6 CD changer and Dice R1 adapter

Is anyone here successfully using the Dice R1 adapter with a 2004 factory in-dash 6 CD changer? I just received my Dice adapter...when I plugged it in to my in-dash CD changer and hit the CD button, it would register that there is something "External" hooked up, however I could not get the ipod to play or charge. I'm hoping that it's just a defective Dice unit. If anyone currently has this setup working, please let me know. Thanks.

I have the in-dash changer and the DICE unit and they work fine together. Before you return the unit, try unhooking your negative battery terminal to completely reset the headunit and see if it successfully syncs up after you hook the power up again.

OK, good...it's not a compatibility issue. Yes, I've tried unhooking the battery and it didn't do anything. I'm pretty sure that the unit is defective, since it won't charge the ipod. The aux port did not work either when that option was turned on. Tried two different ipods and both didn't work. I guess I'll have to wait for the replacement.

how has the dice worked you for you WARGOOSE? I was just at the mazda the other day for an oil change and I asked about the ipod adaptors they sell and they told me they are not compatible with the 04 models... they said that the radio itself had to have the option for satellite if not it wouldnt work.
