2004 RX-8 Firmware

I have spent a good amount of time looking through the threads and info about ipod connection for 9.53 Firmware on an 04 RX-8. Can't really seem to find anything that is practical. Any way around this? I just bought the Mazda two weeks ago and it has a Sirius satellite radio already hooked up. So can I just switch it with a ipod integration? Or is it just not that easy?
