2004 rx8 interior door light
Hi Guys, I'm a new rx8 owner. I've had the car about 6 months and love it.
I'm having a problem with the interior door lights though.
Whenever it rains or is wet outside the door lights on either side click on and off rapidly. It happens too when Im not in the car because I've walked up to the car at night or in the morning and I can hear the thing clicking like mad.
I know it has to be draining the battery doing that for hours on end.
Which fuse can I remove to stop that light temporarily?
Also, what is a more permanent solution?
Thanks for any help you guys can give !

First, congrats on the purchase!
Second, this might be better suited in the troubleshooting section of the forum
Third, Are you talking about the light on the lower rear portion of the doors or the entire courtesy light system? Try turning the courtesy light switch to off, see if that does anything. Could just be an issue with the door sensor. Worse case scenario, just remove the lights until you can figure out what's going on.
G'luck.

15A room fuse(think it's in slot 14), but I like the idea of taking the bulbs out for awhile.
Seems like you need to take the door panels off and have a look inside. Believe it or not, doors are not water tight and they do have drain holes at the bottom. Maybe your drain holes are plugged up?

Hi guys thanks for the replies !
Yes, I'm referring to the two lights at the bottom of each door. I had already turned off the courtesy lights but that didnt stop those two lights. I'll try removing the bulbs for now.
thanks!
