6 CD Changer cheap on ebay.

I recently bought this 6 CD Changer for my 06 8 and it works great. I didn't get the trim so basically I have single cd trim bt a 6 CD changer.

Recommend it to anyone who has a single cd player.

So it's a direct plug in? How do you install it, does the whole piano black plastic piece just pop off and then you unscrew the single disc player like a normal cd player in other cars and then just put in the 6 disc and put the black trim piece back on?

Sounds like a great deal. I paid over $400 for mine.

To install you need to pull the whole head-unit. You then take it to a bench and disassemble it to swap the 6-cd for the single CD. The instructions are quite clear and it is easy once you get the head-unit out of the car.

Didn't say refurb on the box....Also you have to take the whole head unit apart and then the single cd comes off from the top and this one goes right on top. Fits like a glove.. O yea once you install use the load button to insert Cds :D...i got so used to my single cd that i 4got I had to use load for the changer

Good deal if it works well. I want to see the iPod adapter from Mazda before I move on a CD changer.

I did this and it is simple. Look for the mp3 install to get the info on how to pull the Radio. Once it is out, you remove the screws for the single cd them plop the 6cd in its place. put back in a few screws and reinstall. it takes an hour at the most.

JUST REMEMBER TO PULL YOUR CD BEFORE YOU PULL THE STEREO!!!!!!!!

I had a hell of a time getting my CD out.....

It is a good mod.

These were sold recently for a lot less on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8070423818
I suppose the seller figured he can get a lot more money this time around

According to people who bought them, they work fine.

I bought one too, but haven't installed it yet. I paid $85 a few weeks after people started talking about them. This is the thread that got my attention first - people seemed pretty happy with them:

Here's the DIY thread on how to install it - this is the MP3 install that Dagious referred to. READ THE WHOLE THREAD - lots of good info, lessons learned, and install pictures:

the sound isnt very loud but if you lower the volume then the it can be quiet noticeable and it happens around once every 5 second or something. im wondering if it was because its not plugged all the way in or it might be damaged...

I saw these on Ebay, but I'm kinda skeptical. Can't beat the price though, but that's making me wonder..."if a deal sounds too good be be true, then....." well you can finish it. Can you have a CD changer AND mini disc player? Is there room in the console for both? I'm very tempted the get the CD changer.

Talking

Hi everyone...this is my first post to the forum, and I would like to say that I'm glad to be here. I purchased on of these CD players and I should get it by Weds. 23rd. I hope that there won't be any problems....but you can't beat the price. It's insane!

So what has everyone paid? I think $85 is the lowest he is accepting nowadays.

I bought one, but was able to get one cheaper. A person bought it from the buy and decided they wanted the MP3 player instead.

Sales seem have slowed so it may be time to deal.
