6 vs 9 speakers

the hi-powered 8 comes with 9 speakers bose system where as the stardard comes in 6. Has anyone experience both the system, is there alot of difference in term of sound quality?
That's one of the factor among the other features, As I'm deciding which 8 to get.
Thanks for any input.

I haven't heard the 6 speaker system, but I just picked up a fully loaded rx-8 last Tuesday for $35,000. In this I have the nine speaker setup. It sounds really good, and very clear, crisp sounding. I would have hoped for more bass, but I am not complaining. If it had a subwoofer, it would be one of the best stock systems I have heard. THough, it is still up there without one.

check out the audio threads in the audio section. there's a ton of info on the bose (9 speaker) system. there isn't much info for the standard stereo (it's really a 4 speaker system with two horrible tweeters). imo, the standard stereo sucks and i will be replacing it as soon as i get some money. either way, this thread belongs in the audio section.

I've search the audio section without much answers that's why I put up this post. It just have alot of posts where either owner who are very happy with the 9 speakers Bose or totally disappointed with the 9 speakers Bose. I'm looking for comments from those who actually has experience both the 6 and the 9 system.

Thanks

I didn't see anything either about the standard system, I really like to know how many watts it can operate at. I think the upgraded system is 300.

I looked for it on the Mazda website, I guess I'm just blind and missed it. 100 Watts is worse than I ever could have expected. I thought it would be in the 150-180 range.
