Its a great idea and looks very well executed. I bought mine months ago, and still haven't installed it, but the kit look good and the directions easy to follow.
Very grateful someone here had the knowledge and patience to pursue making a kit like this.
The sensor can do up to 150 psi, though you should tell me before that you run higher pressures and we can agree on a custom calibration for your particular kit.
My shimmed front/rear regulators give me ~100 psi and I'm pleased with that. Being a S1 I wonder if it can actually do significantly more.
I've still got a few of these kits left in stock before they are gone forever - last 5 pcs. The parts I need to make them have gone out of stock for ages to come, and by the time they do I might not be willing to start another batch.
Well - thanks to a new customer base - I am able to continue offering this kit.
Well, this edition no longer mentions RX8 anywhere, but functionality is untouched with some extra room for more bells and whistles. There's room for oil pressure and temperature and 2 other similar inputs(temperatures or pressures of any kind), a port to connect a LCD screen and to dim it with the rest of the cluster lighting.
Something along these lines may be offered in the future for the RX8 cluster as well.
Available to buy at www.rotarytronics.com.
In the meantime I've given the code a complete revamp to match the hardware, and I could add a new feature:
True, measured oil pressure and temperature can now be streamed via OBD2 into apps such as Torque, Car Scanner or anything else of the sorts that can display custom defined PIDs.
