Adding satellite or external audio to MP3 player

Adding satellite or external audio to MP3 player
I have used the search function to try to find an answer to this question for some time, with no success to date. I am almost as confused as when I first considered adding a satellite radio to my rig. I have a 2005 RX8 (purchased in October 2004) with factory MP3 player added. As such, the unit has no satellite button.
It appears as though the factory MP3 player takes the CD changer controls. Does it take away the CD changer port on the rear of the head unit as well? Does this remove the option of using adapters such as the PIE unit to add items such as an iPod?
I would like to add a satellite radio radio that will utilize only the console disiplay, and the head unit and steering wheel controls, or barring that, at least add an auxiliary controllable audio input so I can add a something like a Delphi Roady. Is this possible? Thanks in advance for all responses!

Either get a PIE adapter or an AuxMod from Sylfex.
