Ya I did see that thread, Its was great has tons of info on doing this! I think im going to try and tap into the system just before the back amp there was a link showing how. and says that it works well this way being able to controll subs with hu settings and works well with the Auto setting. Just need to print that up so I can show the guy at best buy how to do it!
But do you really think 2- 12's would be to much? I am having a custom box made that leaves tons of space still in the trunk and even having a box made for the small hole back there that will hold Amp and Cap, It should look awsome when done! I'll post picks!

Btw I know 2-12's sounds like it might be to much for our pore rx's little trunks, but let me give you my set up! first Im not using power house subs no 1000+ watts here, I hate the brand but got 2 400 watt rms Dual subs! dual is the brand there not great but if set up with the right amp sound really good! I have used this set up in other cars. I will be pairing them with a pyle driver Amp 2 chan 4 ohm 400 rms each chanell 500 max, sound great with these subs. and running 8 gage power line to a 6 frag cap, I know the cap probably isnt needed but im installing it anyways, last thing I want are power issues!
Any thoughts?

I'm running 2 Rockford fosgate p3s giving them 1500 watts no need for no cap get a better battery a yellow top that's all u need caps don't do nothing
And ye everything still works when u splice into the left rear speaker use a line loc converter and run your RCA cables to that it works with audio pilot and sounds great and it does not drain no sound
If you need help pm me and I'll answer any question u need please don't take it to best buy

I can do it my self I have done plenty of cars before, I just dont know 1 if I have the time, and 2 all I really want them to do is run the damn power line from the battery! Its just a pain in the ***! once that is done I can easly do everything else. If I really wanted to I could do that to but like I said Time!
And I better not have to draw them a damn diagram! If I do at that point they will not be touching my car.

NX04 how are you running 1500 watts and no cap? I understand the hole better battery thing. but your killing that new nice yellow top battery. and the subs would hit a little harder if you had the cap. as nice as the yellow top battery is its still a battery that has a slow charge discharge. and the subs should have a large much quicker discharge availible to them to hit like there sapposed to. thats what the caps are for.

BTW 2 12's is by far not too much.
My buddy has 2 15's... that's way too much.

This is what you need:
on a serious note, I could not DISAGREE more with you on quote below.
We all do not know it needs it.
While the Bose is lacking for some of us in the bass department, dual 12's is overkill. You'd be better off with two properly powered 10 inch subwoofers.
Ask me how I know.

just for that, if I ever do track down that monstrosity of an RX8 with all the subwoofers, you are NOT allowed to sit in it and hear the system.
I've always wondered what that thing would sound like.
