I had a Clifford alarm installed in my RX8 and they couldn't locate the RPM wire so the alarm can know if the car is running. So instead they hooked it up to the voltage sensor since it is higher when the engine is on but this is causing the alarm to be confused occasionaly when the voltage is low.

Can someone please help us locate the RPM sensor so we can finish the installation today? Thanks a lot.

 

Tell them to check the Directedwire site on the Mazda6. I believe it uses the same RPM wire.

I'm an authorized DEI dealer and I looked on www.directechs.com, and DEI has no tach wire info posted yet. They've got some of the other wire colors and locations posted though. I have no plans of doing an alarm or remote start on mine, so I haven't done any digging around for wire info on the 8. If I get a chance, I'll look into it further.
