Alarm problems

You guys with aftermarket alarms. Did any of you have problems with the installation. I got the clifford 2.5x responder (the same as the remote start system, w/o the remote start) from Best Buy and was just gonna let them install it for free. I dropped it off for a couple hours and the installer called me and told me that he couldn't do it because the wiring schematics he got online were for the base model, and the wire colors were different on mine because I have the navigation and keyless entry. I'm just wondering if anyone else ran into something like that. Kinda thinking that I should just take it to a pro now to get it done. If so, anyone know a good place to get it done in Austin?

I recently had a Viper 791xv installed, but was unable to get the trunk and hood wired into the alarm for the same reason. He said that without the correct schematics the only alternative was to spend the afternoon testing wires.

I tried to get it. But the guy screwed up my car. My electronics inside didnt work because he forgot to put back a fuse. I say, go to a pro that does it a lot and can guarantee he will get it right. Its not worth the trouble for the money you saved. I went two days without my car. THen had to bring it to mazda to get it fixed. Another day there. So not worth it. But go to someone who is good. GOod luck man
