Alarm system

Alarm system
I've read through many threads on here regarding alarm installs. However, I keep seeing different things and can't find THE answer to my problem. I'm wanting to attempt a simple alarm install on my '04 6spd. I bought the car used and was only given one FOB. That died a couple of months ago and I'm getting tired of unlocking it by hand (dead, not just the battery). I found a sweet deal on a 4-button 2-way alarm. No starter, just the basic alarm. A third party Fob would've been $60 US plus coding by Mazda. My question is "Does the RX8 have a stock 'alarm system', or just a 'theft deterrent' system?" Do I need a bypass of some sort? Can I wire it directly without adding or buying anything else? Any help is appreciated.

The controller is known as the keyless control module.
See the FSM, section 13 - subsection K-2 - Page 110 to 112.
The wire you want is G/R and is available under the dash to the left of the steering wheel in the kickpanel.
It can be interfaced with any alarm system that provides "factory alarm supervision"... basically two wires from the alarm system, one to do a factory disarm and one to do a factory rearm. Both are connected to the same wire in the car, arm connects directly to the wire, disarm connects through a 100K resister.
Note that this wire is the same wire used for the door lock keyswitch in the drivers door... so the only the drivers door will unlock. To unlock the passenger door, the stage two unlock output from the alarm should be connected to the LG wire (available in the same locations) which is connected to the interior door lock switches.
A "bypass" is not needed unless you want to use the "remote start" feature of a system...
NOTE: This info is for cars with keyless entry... cars with Advanced Keyless Entry may be (probably are) different.
A more complete wiring description for an alarm/remote start is available at the12volt.co: 2004 Mazda RX8 Alarm/remote start request

Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely look into that. I wish everyone on forums could see that asking the same question could be the result of mass confusion and not "trolling" or laziness. I read for weeks before posting this.
