PA altenator/audio question

hey all so im a car audio installer and to make it short can anyone tell me what the altenator consumption is for the 04 rx8. i know our altenator is a 100A one but how much do we actually use for the electrical loads in the car...for example most MITSU cars have a 80/90A altenator and most use 77A to run the cars electrical system. I need that info for the 04 rx8.

running about 2500W RMS in the new amps i wanna put in and my fuses added up is over 200A.

I know i need an upgraded altenator but the info will help me choose what amps i want. are there any altenators on websites besides the irraggi ones on ebay?

thanks in advance,
alan

What you are looking for is a special amp meter that clamps on the batt cables on the car "no cutting wires involved", this will read how much power the car is using. We have one at our company but good luck letting me borrow it. I'm sure some electronics place might have one for just that purpose.

if you cant find an answer, borrow a clamp on ammeter, and if you dont want to spend $50(craftsmen) to $300(fluke) to buy one, and you are comfortable soldering and building a small circuit, i can show you how to build one(cheaply) that will be accurate to ~100mA with a range as high as 300A or so
