KY Another problem with new head unit

So i got my BOSS BV9560B in the other day to find that my metra kit was too small to house it. no problem i said, i'll just trim it up. I hooked it up anyway just to test it. Worked great. Took it out trimmed up the kit (fits great) plugged it back up and no power! I got to taking stuff apart and found that the fuse in the 12v (red wire) had blown (one of those round, cylinder shaped ones) so i replaced it. Still No Power! Im not getting any power through that wire (i touched it and didnt get shocked). I checked the audio fuse by the door, looked fine, replaced it anyway, Still no power. Any Suggestions?

If you popped one fuse, that tells me you have exposed connections somewhere and bumped them just against, probably, a piece of metal in the dash. You probably blew more than one fuse. Check them all. Also, clean up your wiring and ensure there is no exposed metal anywhere. 3M 33+ is some of the best electrical tape out there.

And simply touching the wire with your hand will never shock you. You're not nearly enough ground to complete the circuit. Buy a multimeter. A simple Craftsman from Sears is 20 bucks. I'm sure even cheaper online.

Update:

Well I've had everything taped up from square one; I dont see anyway a wire could of touched metal.

I have had absolutely no luck getting this headunit to fire back up.

Now the display (the red factory display that shows tem, etc) blinks. Its only when i have the headlights on though otherwise it works fine.

Also I've replaced every fuse i could find. Still nothing.

Im no expert when it comes to electrian work so before i go get a multimeter how should i measure it? The current (amps) in the red 12v wire? AC voltage?

Sometimes people bump the little cable that runs to the top amber display. Ensure it's seated properly.

Yellow is +12V DC constant. Red is +12V DC when the ignition is on. The blue/white is +12V DC when the headunit is playing.

Other than that man, I don't know how much help I can be without actually being there and looking it over myself. So if you live in Central FL, holla.
