Any ideas on how to mount this box?

Anyone have any experience mounting a box like this. It's a prefabbed CompRT box that actually sounds pretty good. I just want to mount it in the position shown without it tipping backwards and sliding around.

Bolt it to the floor.

Be awkward to bolt it to the floor there, that's above the gas tank.

Take the seat bolster out and go thru the metal of the seatback.

Good point. I was thinking use a few toggle bolts, but looking at some pictures it doesn't seem like there's much clearance.

good call I'll just use some thin straps that hopefully fit between the speakers and try to hold it back to the seat bolster. Unfortunately the back of the box is 90° and the seat is slanted.

If it's against the seat wall, it's not affected by hard braking - glue the carpet down and use a load of Velcro underneath? It should be pretty solid.

stupid question but what adhesive should I use?. Also does that mean it will be super hard to get my carpet up?

Turn it around, so it fires into the back seats. It is a demonstrably better approach.

You are going to laugh, but my sub box is held in by a black bath towel that is tightly wedged between it and the rear deck. It has been that way for ~5 years, and has survived many, many hours of track use at up to 1.5G without moving.

There is a pic in this post:

I got some L brackets and some short self tapping screws that came with them. screwed the box down on both sides and double sided taped the amp above the box with a pair of socks between it and the factory amp to hold it all snug. One of these days I might get a towel like steve dallas

Did you just screw it through the carpet. Is it bad for a box to use screws?

Yeah theirs some sound deadning under the carpet that's pretty thick also so I went thru the carpet and that rubbery stuff and then to the trunk floor pan. Holes are bad but not as bad as a hole thru the speaker because it falls on your trunk junk
