Anyone else with a green Nav screen??
A couple of months ago, I updated the firmware on my Nav unit (using the disc that I got from Mazda). Everything worked great and the new functions were pretty cool! Recently, I also installed the updated DVD from Navteq. Now, everytime I start up my Nav, the map screen lights up green (even though it's set for beige (day) and black (night). If I turn on & off the parking lights, it then goes to the properly set colors.
I thought I read a thread a while back that someone else had a similar problem, but I can't seem to find the thread. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, what did you do to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance!

hold the 'voice' button down for several seconds to activate the screen settings
make sure they are setup right, this way the nav unit knows what to display
if this doesn't work my theory that the New Firmware disc has a glitch may be sound...the only way to fix it may be a true hardware update (not just firmware) and the latest Nav Firmware (yes mazda's 'New' firmware disc they sent you was already out of date before sending).

Navteq even sent me a replacement disc, and confirmed it was the hardware and not the map disc.

I would print this off and take it to the Mazda dealer. If you have any mods, dont let them tell you its because of that, because the unit works fine with the old map, just not with the new one.
