Cheap LEDs? I had this problem with the two "super bright" LEDs from autolumination that I replaced my license plate light with. I put in a refractor style from v-leds.com (also sells cheap LEDs) and that one works fine. I also have the v-leds refractors in my clear corners and have had no problems to date. Now, my parking lights up front I had 6 LED bulbs from v-leds and one just burned out. I'm getting sick of replacing LEDs and sick of the overly blue hue of the "super white" LEDs so I'm trying the following:

They are a lot more expensive, but they are a name brand (Raybrig), are really bright (8 LEDs per bulb), and are closer to white (5000K). Hopefully they don't burn out right away. If they work well, Raybrig also makes a refractor style bulb, also expensive, but I might upgrade my clear corners to those also.
EDIT: also, I've done a little research on using LEDs in cars and have read that while the LEDs are made for 12V system, they can not handle the spikes in voltage that are normal and that an incandescent bulb can handle. Possibly adding a resistor will keep them from burning out. I read on another site (not the ebay auction) that the Raybrig has a resistor built in (it's a very long LED if you see a pic of the actual bulb). We'll see if that's true.

Here's another one, this one's from PIAA, actually comes with a resistor that crimps onto the existing wiring. Expensive also.
