anyone recognize this amp?sub?

hey im still searchin for my system and i came across this amp on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18797

the thing that surprised me most was the low price when the amp is so powerful. seems too good to be true. so that made me wonder. is this a good deal or does this amp suck?

also...i was thinkin of pairing it with this sub.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3035045134

is that a good match? im looking for a good upgrade in bass..nothing fantastic..just good.

thanks

Don't ever buy anything from BOSS. Their stuff is terrible. I remember one day when a customer brought in his 1000W BOSS amp that he paid $79 for. If it sounds too good to be true, it is! We opened that amp up to see what was inside. The amp was about 15" long or so yet the circuit board inside was only about 5" long??? Something wrong. When you pay $79 for power, you get $79 worth of power. BOSS is a big scam and people keep falling for it every day. They have never been remotely honest about their power output. People still give the excuse "but it's cheap". So what? If ti sucks it doesn't matter how much it costs does it? A base model KIA can be had for much cheaper than an RX-8 so why doesn't every one own one? The point is that it is a ripoff and you shouldn't buy it. Ever!

The Audiobahn sub isn't the best sub on the planet but it isn't bad. I've installed them before and they work fine.

Not to sales pitch JL Audio, but I've been installing for a long time now and love them. Since we don't have the most trunk space in the work, the 10W3 series by JL seems to be a good match up. They use really small enclosures and yield nice low, pounding yet accurate bass. They're priced pretty well too. I have two 10W3's that I bought for my 8, just waiting for my crosscountry trip to VA to put them in. Need the trunk space for better things, like luggage, haha. If you want to dump a bit more money, their W7 series is an awesome sub. Check out their site at www.jlaudio.com or PM me if you want to ask more questions. --Mark

Your problem is that you are looking for a cheap 1000W amp. They don't exist. If you want to run a single 10" or 12" sub, you can get by with as little as 200W and have it plenty loud. If you buy an efficient sub, you won't need as much power. It would be cheaper for both the amp and the sub at this point.

I live in Spring but my girlfriend lives in Brook Forest in Clear Lake. I don't know of anyone down there. Give me a PM. I still have the hookup on audio equipment. That's what I did for many years.
