Ashtray pod for Droid 2 (work in progress)

I was inspired by altspace’s ashtray pod for his Droid X
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/new-ashtray-pod-droid-x-209714/

After looking over the setup for his Droid X and the previous ashtray pods he has made I decided to try and make one for my Droid 2.
I used mostly tools and materials I already had around the house so I’m sure there are some easier ways to do what I've done but I was trying to be cost effective.

Here are some pictures of what I have so far.

Used some sculpey and pressed my stock ashtray lid into it to make a mold and then used some polymorph plastic pellets to cast the mold.

The polymorph cast was pretty much the stock lid but white.

I cut off the lip of the ashtray that's normally used to flip it back. then used bondo to fix a few spots and to help smooth it out. I'm testing to see how it fit in this picture.

I cut out a section to place a dock that fits my phone and then used bondo to hold it in there.

Here I've added some more bondo and have my 3.5mm ports in.

That's pretty much all I've done so far. If you noticed that my dock was placed off center and more to the left that's because I wanted room to add a second 3.5mm port. I also have some USB ports that I haven't made cuts for yet that will go to the right of the dock incase I or someone else wants to charge their electrons in the car.

I still have a good bit to go with this project but I'm aiming to have it completed by the end of this coming weekend the 10th.

Also if anyone was wondering what I'm hooking to the 3.5mm ports up to. I'm using Auxmod from http://www.sylfex.com because the firmware in my radio was "9.53". There is also a ground loop isolator between the Auxmod board and my other connections to cut out any noise in the audio that might occur from charging my phone at the same time. As an extra precaution I made sure to use nothing but heavy duty shielded cable between all my connections and have wire heat shrink wrap to seal all my connections behind the pod.
