After 6 hours of research, I don't think there is a way to wire pocket pc to the audio unit for :

1. MP3 play back
2. Able to control from steering wheel.
3. Functional text display
4. Recharge while playing

I've seen many products on the market that supports ipods and usb mp3 players but not for Pocket PC hand helds.

Please show me the way as I've got about $600 to spend and I plan to purchase Axim X51v and spend the rest on making this happen.

i know that most pocket pc devices have an infrared port, but unfortunately i dont believe there is any remote control available for the device itself. if there were, you could use a swi-x by peripheral to control the device, but unfortunately, you might lose control over the radio itself.

you can get a vehicle charger for the axim, and you can use the headphone out to some form of auxillary input for the radio in the 8.

 

might be in the future,

dont know if they are going to try to make it work with pocket pc.
