Audio Help!!!

I screwed something up and I could really use guru advice. Here's what I did: I installed the XM Commander last night using the CD AUX Hack. Everything was working out fine, but after driving today, I noticed a lot of engine noise through XM. I figured I had a bad ground somewhere I connected directly to the cigarette lighter. Of course, it made some funny noise, and now I get static when playing both XM and regular CDs. I probably touched the XM ground to the ACC or 12V on the cigarette lighter.

How bad did I screw up and how can I fix it? Could I have burned out the connection for the Aux Hack?

I'm off on a long road trip to Vegas tomorrow so I hope to get this resolved tonight. As a last resort, I can probably use the FM Modulator as FM seems to work fine.

Please help!
