Aux in - Anyone tried XCSOURCE cable?

I'd like an Aux In on my '05. Found this on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.ca/XCSOURCE-Femal...6&keywords=rx8

Anyone tried it? Or is there a better way recommended?

For $8.00 why not try it?

Probably will, just wondering if anyone else had already done so. Odd that it looks to be an inexpensive, complete solution with so little feedback online.

It probably won't work, most have some firmware dependency I think. But worth a shot. I have an early 04' with the older firmware and I use the Syflex Auxmod and love it.

The AUX cable will work, but like above above said, check your firmware.I am going to try the Bluetooth box soon.

I believe you press the CD button again and the display should show EX and you should be good.

As for OP's original post, I didn't want to fork over ~$350 for a new install kit/axxess box/ head unit since all I wanted to do was plug my iPhone in so I went on Amazon and purchased Moonet Car Usb/SD Mp3 Player Interface AUX in Adapter. It plugs right behind the original head unit and has cables long enough for you to route. So far it has given me no problems, only gripe is that the USB connection only plays through android devices/storage and steering wheel controls don't work.

It should be, I honestly never checked my firmware version, so I think its whatever it came with from 2008.

I've an 04, version 9.55. Grabbed a Cruz Bluetooth adapter from crutchfield. It also provides USB and aux cable in. I love the Bluetooth, since my iPhone does not have a headphone jack. I think it was 60$ or so.

hey guys I need a little help with my audio setup. I have the bose system and added my own system along with it. I understand that the new headunit needs RCA cables to avoid the static/high noise from the bose amp. Once I ran the RCA cables and hooked them up to the Front and Rear speakers I get this loud speaker/bass pop. Tried bringing it to a local audio shop and they had no help. Can anyone explain why I have the pop when the car starts/shuts down or even when I change the source on the headunit.
