AUX or Xcarlink questions

@Kaine, Oh, I didn't try that... I'll have to test that soon.
@ecsw, I didn't check if it was stereo, i assumed it was. Does it really matter inside of a car? haha. I had my P2 turned off when i tried to connect the phone... Haven't had time to keep trying my phone.

Some Bluetooth client device (like BT earphone) will not hold more than 1 host device. so if your P2 is off, can your phone pair automatically without pushing any button?

....cos that's the only thing that's keeping me from getting one myself.

Cannot control my Samsung P2 BT MP3 player via car controls. Not a big deal for me. Didn't have any music on my phone so I didn't try that.
I was able to connect my phone. Apparently it doesn't like to connect to more than one thing automatically without being turned off (the car) first. If my phone is the first thing to connect, it works. After I turn off the BT on my phone and turn it on again, I have to manually connect through the phone's menu. The >> button still doesn't work with the phone. The volume is kind of dim on the BT phone, I hate to turn up the stereo's volume, cause when the call ends, the music is on LOUD.
For the life of me, I couldn't tell if it was stereo or not. Honestly, I don't listen to much music that is heavily reliant on alternating L-R. I consider myself a beginner audiophile, (I own a Bithead amp and Sennheiser 595's) but I don't really look for pristine audio quality or features in my car stereo, know what I mean? I think the music sounds fine with BT in the car. Stereo or not, I couldn't tell with my music selection.
Hope my "review" helps

^ thank you so much for all your help.
If you can't tell the difference, it should be stereo then. I am too can't tell the difference on 128kb or 192kb mp3 or CD. But mono on 2 speaker is just bad and everyone can tell for sure. :p It's very "empty" and sounds worse than FM radio. :p
However, the audio being low on phone is something else and the >> button to answer the call is rather important. Like you said, I hate to adjust the volume too much between phone and MP3. However, I will mainly use with mp3 from my phone with A2DP instead of a different MP3 player.
I might have to consider the more expensive option like Parrot Mki series. The only thing that turns me down on Parrot is the expensive OEM adapter cable.

I bet you could order the pin connector from Mouser and make your own adapter if you know the pin-outs for each device. Dunno how much that cable costs but might be worth it. I soldered the cable for the HU i had in my old camry from crutchfield.

^ true. But the because of the Boss audio, that cable actually comes with audio level adjuster to make sure the sound level is the same hence
That also explains why the sound level is much lower from phone. But it's $150 for just the adapter....
