Aveletronic Budget Unit

I posted this different section didn't get any replys hopefully you guys can help. I just received it the unit I got is different from the pictures in the directions and the site, I am gussing a got the newer version. The directions says to connects a red wire for +12 VDC accessory. The unit I got does not have have this wire, it has all the other wires in the directions. Does this new unit not need the wire or is it missing it?

I just got my dual budget system as well with the new 12 pin white connector that he changed it to, and the red black yellow and blue wires mentioned in the instructions are clearly visible. They're the shortest ones coming from the connector. If you're looking at the connector from the back...the red you're looking for should be between yellow and pink.

Haven't installed mine yet. Still waiting on a couple more things.

Here's a pic of all 4 of the red black yellow blue wires..yours should look just like mine. And another pic with a closeup of the connector and the red wire.

By the way...what DVD player are you going to use?

Well my unit is actually straight from AVElectronic. Using my ******* tactics, I convinced the owner to send me it since they're located right above me, though he was extremely reluctant/didn't want to **** off Mazdaparts. thew and magellen...watch out...I've got Sam's back if you try to pull anything. Hope we can still be friends.

(I probably should have supported Mazdaparts since they are a forum vendor and magellen is the man, but it was more convenient this way for me. Also, I went with AuxMod instead of the Mazdaparts PIE and HU upgrade, again out of convenience sake. Guess I ought to be spanked. Don't be like me. Support the goddamn vendors!)

Anyway it's pretty odd that both of you don't have that wire. I'm sure magellen will chime in. Looks like I just got lucky. Pays to be naughty sometimes.

This is odd. Sam may have accidently sent us a few bad apples (we've sent out many before this problem free)...fortunately his customer service is superb.

email: sales@AVElectronic.com

Or call:

Phone: (770) 418-1793

Tell him you got the unit from www.mazdaparts.com and he'll take care of you...maybe they are meant to be this way but from what I hear something is funny with these.

Keep me updated guys.

Best Regards,

Jason
