To Baffle or Not to Baffle Speakers
Just replaced my stock non-Bose speakers with Infinity Reference 9263I in rear, 6822CF in doors, and 1021 Tweeter in door. I did not use baffles, but now wonder if I should have and what kind any of you recommend for the front door and rear speakers. The new Infinity References sound so much better, no wonder once I saw the paper stock speakers!

I originally installed the foam style baffles on my front speakers, but the mid bass response was horrible. I then cut about half of the baffle out and left it as a shield (similar to the stock speaker) and it sounds 100% better.
Since it sounded like crap in the front, I didn't install any on the rears.

Thanks guys for the tip to cut the baffle so it is like the OEM speaker. I did see the plastic shield on the top half of the door speakers but thought it was a rain/water guard. Can't wait to see how it improves the sound.
