That is infact a sub destroyer markIII..... It is a bandpass box and a cool looking one at that. Someone has indeed put some time into it's design but it is also a one size fits all. Based on the fact that the one size does not fit all and that we all like different types of bass response and most important bandpass is the single quickest way to destroy a sub, turn and run, run far away.

Bandpass if you are going to do it is difficult to extremely difficult for the average consumer. Both chambers must be to the square inch for internal volume, the port must be the exact size and width and it's displacement as well as that of the sub is critical. Bandpass by itself can be tuned to specific frequencies. They are usually tuned to the 70hz. area as that is most often the loudest resonant frequency in a vehicle. Bandpass for lack of better words allows only a narrow band of response to be played, it is naturally filtered out on the top end and on the bottom end. So it is not the best choice of box types for most people who want to listen to their music. If you are a one note wonder kinda person, this is indeed the box type for you.
