Basslink or new rear speakers

Which one would give me the most sound improvement ? Installing a basslink or decent rear speakers. If I install a basslink , can I just hook it to the rear speakers and the power line to the 12v aux. connector on the console ?
I was thinking of replacing the rear speakers first to see how that sounded but I'm leery of ripping half the car apart to do it. I heard horror stories of broken clips and things just not fitting back right.
FYI , I installed one of those Kenwood Woox subs and it almost made no difference in bass response. I'm removing it. Don't buy one !!

Replacing the front and rear speakers should help out a lot and from there you can always add a basslink or another amp + woofer. It makes more sense to start with quality components. The original speakers (I have the base audio system) were pretty crappy and the sound improved dramatically when I replaced them.

As long as you're reasonably careful, replacing the rear speakers is not difficult at all. Don't try to avoid removing the rear seats...its really easy to get them out, and its the safest way to do it.

Don' t just do the rear speakers....IMO do all your stock speakers first, and then add the Basslink if you still want more bass (which depending on what kind of music you listen to, you probably will).

You can just wire the Basslink to the rear speakers, but you'll lose bass as you fade forward. If you're not going to mess with the fader you can set it and leave it. People will tell you not to wire the power to he aux power outlet, and they're probably right. That said, I did it, and it works fine and no wires or connections get remotely hot. Of course, with the stock base head unit as the only amp in my system right now, I have the Basslink gain cranked down, otherwise it will overpower the main speakers. I have an amp sitting here that I need to install, and when I do I'll wire both it and the Basslink up properly.
