Handsfree Installed Pictures - Bluetooth
Greetings RX8Club ![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I own a Nokia 3650 cellphone. I got it from a buddy for a good price, this is my first phone with color display and the technology built into the phone is excellent. The phone is equipped with bluetooth so I purchased the Nokia Hands-free car kit and got it installed in my RX-8.
The bluetooth kit for the phone is great, once you get in your car without touching buttons your phone is linked up and from the control you have control over your phone. I setup all the voice tags on the phone for voice dialing.
The sound from the speaker is great, it is placed behind the fabric, not noticable and no screws were needed for any mounting.
How well do people hear you? I have the mic mounted up by the rear view mirror. I have tested with many people and say it sounds perfect. We ran a few tests and recorded to voicemail to replay the audio also. You can hear people WELL from the backseat also.
The wires... Well you dont see any. The microphone by the rearview mirror has a wire that runs up to the left underneath the roof fabrics and down the side into the panel wired into the fuse box thingy and connected to the bluetooth box where everything else connects to.
The control for the bluetooth is located by the ashtray, wires are run underneath all the paneling, again no wires seen. We took apart the center console to get everything in place.
You can see from the photos where we stuck the bluetooth box, at first we were going to put under the seat, but you would have lose wires, with it located where it is you don't see anything.

The coolest thing is I do not need to plug the phone into anything, all bluetooth connectivity. The phone stays in my pocket without wires attached :D

The control for it is pretty cool. I don't have down all the functions as of yet but the outside rim is the volumn control it rotates. The middle button is your main control, it has + functionality, up down left and right. along with center just pressing it how many times.
Redial you just tap the middle twice. Voice dial just hold down till you hear the tone. Hang up, hit the button once. I have mine set to auto answer after 2 rings in the car. The bluetooth kit supports up to 8 phones or something.![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks for the heads up on the installer. Did a nice clean job.

Whichever kit you decide to get if any if it has the same style this is pretty good positioning for the controls and such. The ashtray opens and closes perfectly still, doesnt touch it nor get in the way.

I need something like this. I hate talking while in the car, yet it seems that is when I get most of my calls. Do you know of any Verizon supported phones that include bluetooth? What was the cost? Thanks for any info you can give me.

When I got it installed I didn't know if the head unit of the stereo had the auto-mute connectivity, I know it does now so I need to get that part hooked up.
Right now the stereo doesnt mute, its an easy fix. I always thought of it as hold music till one day someone called and the music was loud enough that i couldnt hear them but they heard my conversations ;0)
