Ok, this is what I heard sorry if this sounds stupid. I was just wondering, I read somewhere that the HU of the RX-8 with the bose system is not bose, and is the same HU as the base model RX-8. If this is true, then can I just junk the Bose amp and speakers, and add a whole new sound system?

 

Oh, and befor someone says, do a search. I just wanted a quick answer if you guys don't mind.

 

It's different, the bose HU does not have an internal amp.

 

I don't think is a Bose head unit because they would have teir name on it because they would not leave out their name on their products.They market themselves really well.IT's not that easy to replace the headunit.Trust me on this one because I'm working on that right now with a custom audio shop!
