Bose Radio aggravating problem

I have a 2005 with the Bose, and check this out. Rarely, I start 'er up and the radio comes on and works. It's awesome! More often (99%) the radio sounds like the antenna is having a hard time getting signal, and it will go in and out and in and out, sometimes for 30 minutes before the radio "works". Then, when it is working, it sounds like the amp lost some of its power, and the mids in the front door don't work, but the rest of the speakers do. Lastly, there are times when there is NO sound at all from anything, and it eventually will do the antenna not getting a signal in and out thing then work, but usually without the front mids. I suspect the rear amp sends the signal to all the other speakers (and the amps for the mids in the door) and I need to replace it. I have read the sticky, and have been searching for over a month online, and have talked to several install shops with no luck. THey just want to sell me something. I am planning to upgrade the head, but not until I solve this problem. I don't want to spend $350 for a head unit for it to not work. Any help is appreciated.

Moved to the Audio subforum for you, since this isn't a common question. The audio guys should be able to get you pointed in the right direction. Sounds like a loose connection, but I don't know my audio enough to give you locations to check.

Thanks for the direction, and the reposting. Maybe I'll search around on how to add a photo to my profile while I await replies from the masses.

When it's all said and done, I got an amp off Ebay, and it works great now. I opened the old amp, and I can't see anything wrong, so I'm sure it's a resistor, capacitor, or whatever the big silver thing in the middle is that was needing to warm up to make a connection and pump sound out to the speakers. Wish I would have got an amp a few months ago, live and learn.
