If you're interested in another, I'd be willing to help out. I live in the Clear Lake area, so it'd be a drive ... but I don't mind in my new 8
I'm not sure how detailed and complete you want to test, but I'd also be interested in seeing how the results are in a road-test comparing frequency response with the AudioPilot turned off and on.
Being a home theater nut, I've used the same Radio Shack SPL meter (though mine is the analog variety) to try to calibrate my surround setup. So I can't claim total ignorance on this, but then adding the effects of a car's geometry and dynamic background noise can certainly complicate matters.

I don't have a way of doing it with the car in motion unless someone has a mile long extension cord! I spoke to my old boss yesterday and he said it was cool. I would like to test both the standard and Bose systems.

Ricer is Nicer.....
Plots...
I think one of the problems with these (very well done) plots, that seems to make them look 'mid-bass-heavy' is the 70 Db level.
The Bose amps have a substantial 'loudness' boost built in, so that even with the Audiopilot and tone controls off, the bass will be over emphasised.
A much more realistic plot would come from a more aggressive volume; say 90/95 Db......

A honest Q
For those like myself that have read all of the above and have no idea what you are saying, a question for the experts.
How good is the Bose System in the RX8. Is it high end low end or sub par?
How does it compare to a system that you would expect for the cost of the car?
Generally speaking is it lacking Highs Lows are something else?
