Just got my 2005 RX-8, and am disapointed with the Bose sound quality, particularly at relatively low volume. I have had Boston speakers in a previous car and these delivered exceptionally crisp, bright midrange with clear bass. Given the smoothness and relative quiet of the RX-8, the car would seem to be ideal for high quality sound. I am looking for information about replacing the existing speakers with Bostons of like size, maintaining the same components and the same wiring. Has anyone out there done such a thing? Any suggestions along these lines?
