Broken keyless entry

Broken keyless entry
My keyless entry, just isn't working. I had the batteries changed 2ce, and it doesn't work. I'd like to buy a new one but I am unaware of the way it works. Can anyone help me out or link me to a previous post?? Thanks

Both of mine went out even with fresh batteries and a reprogram they wouldnt come back. Dealer replaced them under warranty but I also got a 05 key from ebay. Wish they would have replaced with 05's but oh well.

chizzer, you really out to have a spare key. Did you buy new or used? If used you may be SOL, if new they cheated you.
If you're under warrenty it should be no prob.
I've seen these key fobs break. A friend brought me his to repair and it turned out to have a broken solder joint on one of the chips on the circuit board inside. I have some pretty nice soldering equipment in my electronics lab at work so it was no trouble to repair, but it was a surprising failure. He must have dropped it really hard.
