When you took apart the nav hood you lost the gears orientation and therefore misaligned them. The potentiometer doesn't like that. It's a tricky process but this is what you have to do. Separate the display hood itself (the main part with the motor) from the plastic center dash panel. You should then try to operate the open/close and tilt buttons. They should make the motor spin in various ways. Now hit the button and make sure the motor is in the fully close position. You will need to reassemble the housing without spinning the motor or you will once again lose the alignment. I've had to do this many times but its gotten easier.

edit, also make sure that the small 3 pin plug going to the potentiometer is plugged in properly.. it will EASILY fit in the wrong way.

btw, where are you located?

I'm not sure what you mean by calibrating the nav screen? when I did my setup I ran into this problem as well.. my screen would open halfway, or would open fully then hit the end and retract half way. My tilt also didn't work.

Take apart the nav hood from the center plastic panel (separate the gear from the guide) and see if the motor spins the full length. I'm 99% sure that is what is happening. That and make sure once again the potentiometer is in the correct orientation.. that plug threw me off a few times.

can't really tell much from that (other than yer a chick ), however the motor itself is fine because even when you manually pushed it fully open it still closed all the way.

it still can be what I said about it not being aligned correctly.. i really wouldn't be able to tell you from here...
