calling all NAVI/Video mod experts- NEED HELP!!

Hey, I'm sure at least one of you can answer this question without even having to go look at your 8. I'm trying to hook up my new DVD for the NAVI (old one stolen) and ran into a problem. There are 4 connectors at the DVD player from the harness and 4 connector sockets on the back of the DVD unit. Seems easy enough except that one connector doesn't fit into any of the sockets!?
On one end (of the DVD player) there's a white 16 pin socket, white mating male connector-no problem. Next to that is a gray 24 pin socket, white male connector- no problem. On the far end, opposite the white socket, there is a square, green, 1 pin socket (GPS antenna, I think)- green male connector, everybody's happy! What's left is a silver (chrome), square, 8 pin socket about the same size as the green one. It also has 3 plastic tabs molded inside the socket (2 square,1 rectanglular), probably to ensure male connector is only inserted one way. The 4th male connector is white from a thick black wire w/red stripe and there's no way it's gonna fit the 4th socket. What am I missing? I'm thinking that 4th male connector is for grounding and gets stuck on the metal tab held on by one screw and sticking out the back between the green and silver female sockets. But then if it does, what goes in the silver socket? HELP!!

that extra connector is for a wiring harness that exists for J-spec cars...it hooks up a Tv tuner and backup camera system...not a US offered accessory, besides it is 800 dollars, yikes!

the NAVI dvd is only for Navigation

if you hookup a dvd through an av box like the one from www.rx8garage.net

you can hookup dvd players, and video game systems, etc.
as for using it while you are driving...it can be hooked up that way but the manufacturer and the seller (rx8garage) tell you not too, many times as you are taking a great risk doing so
