Dude I was Sounstream back when they were soundstream
My 'previous-Previous-previous-previous-previous-previous-previous-previous' car had two SS12's, 1 MC300, 1 MC140, Audio Control EQX, and Quart seperates.
Circa...1992.

small picture of my setup
1 PCA1500d class d mono amp, 1500watts (Picasso series, they now have a 2000d which is AMAZING)
2 Van Gogh series 10" dual voice coil woofers (they no longer make this model sub, I will probably be going with reference series or Tarantula's for next year's show season.
amp is down to 1/2 ohm, runs all day long, no heat, no clipping, no problems whatsoever.
My car is an official Soundstream demo car for my best friend's shop referenced down in my sig. I'm even mentioned on their international corporate webpage in the eevnts section. (-gulp-) They've been very supportive to our shop, and I would highly recommend any of their products to anyone out there looking for better sound.

Here's a shot of our demo car in early mockup, I would have taken some of the interior, but there isn't one, just a floor covered in r-blox (sound deadener) and some nicely run wires etc. lol
The car is in it's early early stages, but it's going to be a monster when it's done. I'll be sure to post up new stuff as it gets done, next up is the boxes getting painted/covered etc, amps mounted, then on to the interior. It's not an Rx, but it's still going to be sick

4 Tarantula 12's, 2 PCA2000d's, (We were going to do the 3000d's but Soundstream has been having issues with releasing them so they held those back for now) 2 other Amps for the highs (Highs will be the reference series, didn't catch the amp specs, probably 4 channel something or over) He's also getting screens in the backs of the seats, all the crazy power distro stuff with the led's etc. This thing is going to be all Soundstream I think with the possible exception of the deck, and even the deck install is getting some trickery as they're doing some mods to the dash to make it stand out a little. (Nothing too crazy, just some subtle touches here and there. I don't think they set any target SPL or anything like that, I think this is bascailly a guy wanting something trick he can compete with. The other Demo car has been killing it at the sound competitions, even had a judge tell him his car was the best car he has heard in years, all Soundstream as well. His car is a CRX, this car in the photos is a brand new Civic Si, I'm not real up on the new Civics (or the old ones really) but the new Si's are pretty decent, although this one won't be used at the track or anything considering all the equipment homedude is loading it down with. lol Did you hear Audiobahn is going out of business? Someone told me that over the weekend, seems kinda' odd as I thought they were doing pretty good

Wow, I didn't hear that, kinda surprising. are those boxes big enough for 4 T4-12's? My box is 4.25 cubic feet with one 15" sub. (soundstream's specs) I would go with that soundstream deck with the 4inch screen on the right hand side of the panel. it's really sweet looking.

This guy is a huge NY Yankees fan, so he'll probably get some sort of cool touches as well, one of the ideas is to have a little backlit "NY" with a spider dangling from it (since that's the Soundstream logo sorta). The boxes are all ported and go in like a jigsaw puzzle, you have to remove the trunk latch to get the back one in lol The way the ports and everything is designed to fit together is really something amazing, makes my setup pale in comparison lol I can't wait to see it all finished, much less hear it. I would bet it's going to be mind blowing after it's all finished out, put together, all that

There were some initial issues with the headunits, like especially the ones with Nav where you couldn't multi-task with them. If you were listening to music, and then trying to use the Nav, it wouldn't do both at the same time. As far as I know those issues have been corrected on the newer builds via firmware so it shouldn't be a problem. One thing to keep in mind with Soundstream is they only support like 1-2 online dealers tops, so be very careful where you get it from, I recommend buying it locally or buying it from an authorized dealer and having them ship it etc. (the shop that sponsors my car will do that if you have a hard time finding a legit place) That way you're covered, as I've seen issues here and there and it would suck to spend all that $ and then get stuck out. My personal opinion on the decks, they're nice, but they could use some improvement, most noticably in the interface and how you get around when using the different features etc, but that's just my personal opinion

lol, I should have gotten a shot of under the hood, he's got 2 optima yellows in there and the breaker(s) is wired to LED's so if everything is peachy they light up this piece of frosted lexan one color, if one trips it changes colors. It's pretty nifty, we're doing something different in mine now too, but I'm keeping it on the dl until it's all done
