Can't remove stereo

Can't remove stereo
I am trying to remove my stereo in my 2006 Mazda rx-8 and I have the two screws and the bolt that hold the stereo but when I try to pull it in only comes about 1/3 of the way off. I've removed the glove box and can see something plugged into the bottom left side of the stereo (side near driver seat) that has a short cord and won't allow me to remove the stereo. I've killed my hand reaching in there and trying to unplug it but can't. Any help at all would be great.

If you are sure you got the one bolt on the drivers side that holds it in, then you just have to pry it out. Be very careful and try not to pull on the face plate, or you will have other issues. It will come out.

Remove the vent above the stereo as well, and this will help you to fit your hand down behind the stereo to unplug the wiring loom, which is what will be holding it in. Its usually a differcult job to unplug the loom/s, but it can be done.
Hope this helps a bit.

I found where the cord that was plugged in was leading and cut some things that were holding it back so I can see it now. The only problem is the cord that was holding the stereo back is plugged up in the spot where I need to put my adapter. I have no idea what it does. It looks like the cord might head to the back of the car but I'm not sure. I have Bose. I just wonder what is plugged in there right now.
